+ Watch BDRBF
on My Watchlist
Much of the issues surrounding their C-series and Learjets are now baked into the price and as a lot of their options to purchase begin to turn into firm orders, I would expect their share price to rise significantly. Throw on that the Canadian and Ontario governments are searching for way to invest into subways, light and heavy rail infrastructure over the coming years and I would say BBD is set to outperform through the duration of the late bull stage of the business cycle.
My real start point was significantly lower, but it was not in the Fool.com Universe until very recently, so I'm putting in a pick and a comment now.First off, the Event, as everyone knows, is a successful C-Series launch. It has to come sometime! And when it finally does, both new and confirmed orders should start pouring in, especially in light of BA's and Airbus's well-publicized problems and ERJ's last very significant earnings report, which showed essentially that it is a braggart trading in Hopium and contracts placed too low.Aside from the C-Series, the train division is doing much better and private jets will - not may, WILL - experience a Renaissance based on any pickup in worldwide growth, to which this sector is one of the most closely tied. Then, there is currency. The Loonie tends to move with the WTI, Gold, and the TSX. After a long, long drought, all three may be improving, and the Loonie could move back to parity and beyond. If that is the case, the US versions of dual-listed Canadian-US stocks will reflect it very quickly. This mostly concerns the Canadian Gold companies and their stocks now. But the US stocks of Bomber will also be quickly affected.
A well-respected player in regional jet manufacturing with a solid, and growing, customer base. RJs are now mainstream for most regional markets in the USA.
