Conservative management; closely held; cash rich; wide moat, strong brands and well diversified asset base; this is one of those times when its better to buy the mutual fund company than the mutual funds it sells.

IMO, Franklin is one of the stable and reliable financial services company than the rest.

Just a solid company. Conservative management. Good placement for participating in the expanding econimies of the BRIC block. I was in India last year and they are one of the premier Mutual Funds to invest in there also.
