This is one of those stocks I always have in the portfolio. In the weeks that are so bad you don't even want to look at your holdings, this is a stock that invariably makes me realize things could have been worse if I didn't have it. Nothing glitzy, but good for keeping up the morale if you allocate a continual percentage of the portfolio to it. Nice little perodic dividend too. In really strong markets I wouldn't expect it to outperform, but if we hit a long bout of stagflation I think it'll hold up quite well in comparison to the rest of the market.

This economy has me wanting to buy alcohol stocks. Jack Daniels is still going to get drank during a recession, so we might as well buy this stock as well as Constellation Brands. During what period of time has alchohol ever lost money? Even during prohibition people were making big bucks when the stuff was banned. Outperform long term with some qualilty brands and a good market model

Global demand for premium spirits esp'ly whiskies. Also note the barrels - many Scotch whisky distilleries buy used barrels from the US esp Jack Daniels, which is one of BF-B's brands.

hotels or any place that sells alcholhal.
