Briggs & Stratton Corp (NYSE:BGG)

A blue chip that sells these small engines all over the world,anp the price trend has been up for long time.

I believe Briggs & Stratton will bring in 87.58 points considering a 15% S&P performance.

Has had a "Buy" rating from Vanguard for nearly all year. At its lowest price in two years, solid company, good dividend yield. I'm in it for the long haul!

no income leftover for investors, a long term forever breaking even story.

This company exudes likeness to the S&P 500, with a beta of 1.03 it almost perfectly mirrors the "markets" performance. I am placing this bet on the sole belief that the management team is better than that of the markets collective wisdom and draw that conclusion from the companies longstanding efforts to reduce debt. Assuming they continue at their current pace they could be free of long-term debt in under 2 years, at which point the most reasonable thing to do with cash is to increase the dividend back up to 4 - 5% of current price. Either I will get my money (and market outperformance) in cash through dividend or the stock moves higher (faster than the market).

I see nothing but bad times ahead. I know they expect profit to be flat to up for the year, but I doubt it. If it can't finish the year even then that dividen is in harms way again.

Strong company. Great management. This stock has showed time and time again that it can weather the storm...and so can it's products. (Just a little generator/hurricane joke.)

Big things come in small engines...

agree with hidden gem pick, a company with long history. however, all power equipment will be hot by the oil price so i do not expect it to be great for short term.

Rainy spring thus far in midwest. Low price stock that is sure to outperform in the near future

Strong brand with several one-time costs. With a 4 percent dividend,I'm willing to wait for it to recover.

this stock is a good hedge on ression and has a good dividend history

Good company with an established brand a solid dividend, but it will take awhile for the business to turn around. They need a strong snow and hurricane season in 2007.
