can anyone tell me why this is "stuck" in CAPS at 24.97? I trade it in my RL portfolio but it looks dead here. I don't want to end it and book the loss.

Stronger energy prices are ahead. Will favor its core holdings.

BGR is a closed-end fund that currently trades at more than an estimated 15% discount to NAV. Stellar management keeps turnover low and uses no leverage. To boost the fund's yield, management maintains a stake in limited partnerships (roughly 25% of assets as of late) and writes covered call options on up to a third of the assets in the portfolio. Given the recent selloff of such assets in connection with market turmoil, this fund provides an insanely good risk/reward opportunity for true buyers of value.

like oil? why not buy it at a discount in a closed-end fund. you get a nice basket of Blackrock-selected stocks at about 15% off, for a fee of around 1% per annum,

This closed-end fund distributed $3.41 in 2007. It sells at a discount. The commodity sector should be great as long as the developing nations are buying and using more stuff. I own this fund and I highly recommend it.

- This industry (Oil and Gas) isn't going away, despite the hype.

- Profitability is excellent at $60/barrel, much less $90-100/bbl.

- Closed end energy fund trading at significant discount (14% when orig purch)

- Portfolio picked by BGR appears to be a good one, NAV growth has been much more rapid than unit price growth.

- Even if oil sells off somewhat, cushion of NAV discount and 5% basic yield should mitigate. Long term holding anyway.
