+ Watch BH
on My Watchlist
The Company is engaged primarily in the ownership, operation and franchising of Steak n Shake restaurants.
Matt says so
This ain't boring: http://www.biglariholdings.com/letters/2013.pdf
Tasty burgers at a low price (and they even have the veggie melt for vegetarians).
Mispriced due to CBRL holdings.
In the long term a good investement.
Great leadership, great vision, not a great value, but can-be over the long-term.
Good capital allocator that now has a cash generating machine behind him. He'll do deals. He'll buy back stock. He'll also buy his shares on the open market, instead of issuing options.
Might go down. But PE=18 and growth is very high.
I'm not putting real life money into this one, but I will be watching with great interest. Should be fun.
have owned this for a few years, when it was called something else.Price is higher than i like but i want my caps to mirror my personal holdings.
A special opportunity as the company is run by activist investor / hedge fund manager with great turnaround potential.
He may not be son-of-Buffet, but Biglari seems like a savvy investor who's looking for values. The stock got beaten down on his comp package, and was a buy under 300.
Good track record of value creation (compensation debacle not withstanding...) and has had success with Steak-N-Shake. This call requires a bit of trust in Biglari, but so far he's done ok. Seems disciplined with his targets and acquisitions. If he can keep that up, he should be successful.
undervalued already and ceo has record of inreasing value
Didn't want to jump on the bet that Biglari is the next Buffett when BH shares looked less cheap. But now that Biglari and BH have been roughed up a bit, seems like a good time to test an outperform play in CAPS.
Strictly a speculation on my part. I tried to read up on Sandar Biglari but there is pitably little information about him on the Internet. Wilkapeadia just mentions his birthplace, date and college he attended, plus his career at S & S.
Bought RL at $325
After the recent pullback, BH looks like a nice place to park some money for the long term and let Sardar go to work
I am betting that Sardar Biglari is going to be a great manager and will produce great gains for his stockholders.
