Undervalued. Product diversity. Nice dividend. Stock will outperform as commodities come back. There is growth and a paycheck to be had.

Another company that will benefit from rebound in BRIC economy.

BHP unfavorable to BBL for a long-term US investor

Looks expensive.

The Global Market will be searching for deals in scarce minerals and precious metals. I think BHP can and will deliver.

Excellent hedge against commodity inflation.

In my opinion, BHP represents the best single company diversified natural resources play. With divisions focused on petroleum, base metals, iron ore, manganese, coal (both metallurgical and energy), steel, and specialty products (such as diamonds), BPH delivers exactly what the world's rapidly industrializing and growing nations need. Once China stops worrying about inflation and sorts its real estate bubble out, BHP will be a home run.
Recs
Reasonably priced with a solid yield. Should do well in the long run.

L0RDZ opinions on BHP
Back in the day:
When the world seemed like it was coming to an end, when Alstry was running wild speaking of himself in the third, fourth, and maybe fifth person sense, I managed to pick this stock in the 28 price and to my bewilderment it dropped down to 24 before it began its glorious multi year climb soon to be approaching the three digit land ~ close to a 4 bagger if I remember my cap terminology and yet this investment looks better than ever.
Now Alstry is fascinated with udders and the digital age ? lmao... meanwhile I'll stick to what I know about top tier miners and world producers.

"Ugly"
Are you ugly?
A liar like me?
A user, a lost soul?
Someone you don’t know
Money it’s no cure
A Sickness so pure
Are you like me?
Are you ugly?
[Chorus]
We are dirt, we are alone
You know we're far from sober!
We are fake, we are afraid
You know it’s far from over
We are dirt we are alone
You know we're far from sober!
Look closer, are you like me?
Are you ugly?
Turn a blind eye
Why do I deny?
Medicate me
So I die Happy
A strain of cancer
Chokes the answers
Are you like me?
A liar like me?
[Chorus]
I don’t care, you don’t care
I’m bitter, you’re angry.
You don’t care, I don’t care
You love you, just like me
I blame you, you blame me
I’m bitter, you’re angry.
You don’t care, I don’t care
You love you, like me
