Great concept doesn't always mean great stock? Yes, I am blown away by the fact that BJ's has seen its stock soar fourfold over the past five years. 40 consecutive quarters of higher comps? That's amazing.

Discretionary income will be limited to a select few in the food business and this is not one of them.....

Proven casual dining concept has lots of room to grow. Currently operating 84 locations on track to open 8-10 additional in '09 (vs. 15 new in 2008). Ultimate build-out could approach 300 units.

Good operations have produced same-store comps off by just 0.1% over last year despite reduced consumer spending.

These guys have a menu with broad appeal, a flexible footprint that maintains an upscale casual feel in a variety of good locations. Minimal long-term debt, with adequate line of credit to cover short-term expansion costs.

Lots of potential with this one over the next 3+ years.
