Recs
Stocks will come back to crush bonds over the long term.
Recs
Very short term outperform on current uncertainty. Institutional investors will flock to bonds for more safety.
Recs
Investors will use this ETF in an attempt to offset future losses in their portfolio over the next several months due to uncertainty in the market. This ETF along with the ETF GLD will be paired together for a hedge for the next several months.

In a country where the entire FIRE economy is built upon the idea of exploiting the negative first derivative of the price of credit, BND is bound to go up. If it doesn't, then the whole house of cards collapses and BND still outperforms against the index. The risk is that S&P could decide to go up, and faster than BND. But for now the market trend is down. We are going through "interesting" times right now. Weak hands are being shaken out. Fundamentally, stocks are not that expensive. But the bearish trend is powerful. This does not look like an ordinary correction. For the next several months, the bears will keep coming up with new, and convincing reasons to sell and short everything. I believe I will give BND thumbs-up at least 2-3 more times. After that, with the market 15-20% lower, stocks will be too cheap to continue betting on BND. And then I will open 8-10 BND shorts in succession, and close each of them with 5+ points.
Recs
Interest rates are not going to rise as fast as most people think, but eventually they will rise, and bond prices will go down. With interest rates near zero right now, this fund has nowhere to go but down in the mid to long term.
Recs
Good fund, but low yield.

Why would bonds beat stock? Great ETF to own, I do but there's no way this will outperform the stock market in any considerable time length.
Recs
Bonds Under perform stocks.
Recs
Fixed income market is in a bubble, the yields are too low and do not reflect the reality of rising worldwide inflation. Get ready for a long term bear market in bonds
Recs
U.S. stock bull 3/17/2008.
Recs
I'm going out on a limb to say that the overall bond market will not outpace the overall stock market with the current lower yields.
