Moving the company Hdqts out of Silicon Valley is a huge mistake. Hope they don't revise the employee manual next.

Software company with a great cash position that is way undervalued. Company is currently in the final stages of a re-org, expect this stock to outperform in a year or so.

Borland was a great little company that made very nice IDEs for software development. I cut my teeth on Delphi. What killed Borland (Yeah they're dead) was the move by the world towards web apps and their half baked move to linux. A bigger commitment would have been much better.

This company is toast. Weak management team, along with no earnings growth, not to mention spinning off their core IDE business, IF they can find a buyer, which is increasingly difficult. Products outside of the IDEs are low-volume, hard sells into most companies. But, mainly, despite a rabid but dwindling customer base in the JBuilder and Delphi product lines, their management has been doing little but sucking the coffers dry for the last four years.

85% of the stock is in the hands of institutional traders, all purchased near the bottom. Riding the smart money's coattails is a sure winner. This stock will double within 24 months.

I used to own this local company. Borland has been floundering for a few years. They banked on Linux when M$ moved into enterprise software market, and Linux hasn't panned out for them. CEO Fuller has left, I believe...

I don't think that Borland can compete, long-term, with the software and business-process behemoths in the arena today.
