+ Watch BOTA
on My Watchlist
Insider ownership uptrend primarily. This has the makings of a turnaround play.
great stock to play
I'm not quite sure what happened to Biota. Apparently they were traded on a US exchange a few years ago, then somehow got off, and then got on again late last year by reverse merging with ill-fated biopharma Nabi. I still can't believe I made a CPAS bet on positive phase III data for an anti-smoking vaccine. Anyway, Biota has been pretty weak sauce since the reverse merger but they have a decent chunk of cash and an enterprise value of less than 40M. A solid BARDA contract for their influenza antiviral laninamivir keeps the burn to a minimum and the company is working on development of laninamvir outside of Japan, where it is already approved. May is probably not the best time to invest in a flu stock but it's a good spot to plant a flag in CAPS to keep an eye on it going into the fall.
STRONG BUY COULD HIT 3000%
I originally recommended Biota around the Fool 500% ago, but it was too small to add to CAPS then. Despite the huge rise I continue to see a bright future. Should earn current EV over next 18-24 months. Huge Relenza royalties coming. LANI deal should come soon. ASX 200 listing coming. It 's all happening. Here's my current thinking on Biota http://www.fusioninvesting.com/tag/biota/
top player divergence to the poisitve
If you've ever picked a stock to soar, this has to be the one. What is my reasoning? Last night when the green guys picked me up for a little gazing at the stars, the fat one leaned in and said Biota Holdings. I thought the svedka had gotten to the little guy. Now I understand! Thanks little fat guy!! I owe ya one.SincerelyThe one, the only, big ole labtech
