Going against the grain here with BP. This is one I hope to pick up at a 9% yield. I'm not saying it's a bad stock, just the opposite. I just think it will lag compared to the broader market and that's the game we're playing here.

BP is facing some tough litigation and PR problems in the States. This security is over saturated. 3.1 billion shares outstanding is a lot. Institutional ownership is low, which tells me there is caution ahead. The oil bubble could burst and at least they should decline, which means less profits for BP. I see BP underperforming its peers in the next year.

Their gas keeps my truck running smooth. Thier last earning report stated that their dividend were up 10% higher than a year ago. Good news for share holders. Tey have lagged their peers but they will pull out and catch up with everyone else if they get their mamagement together.
