Looking at BQI's lands and the debt they have accumulated (I believe I have read that they have over $400 million in the development phase and even more when adding the permit costs of their three lands), if they do not get adequate financing, this stock will tank and go into bankruptcy. They have gained 1 very good land space (Saskatchewan land), but is very far from being able to produce/sell any barrels from that land. I believe that they will go into bankruptcy before they will be able to sell that oil. However, if they do get that financing to produce the oil, this stock has a very good chance of outperforming, but the chance of outperforming is very, very low. I have also read that BQI is trying to sell this company for a while, but has not been able to find any buyers. I know that an investor has to take risk, but with my research, the risk is too high and you would rather find a safer stock to invest in. I accidentally bought this stock and am now deeply regretting it. Don't make the same mistake.

No debt, right sector, look at the high of gasoline in 2008/ relative to the price of BQI

Oil sand is coming either China or US will capture the market.... dirty oil yes, close to home and not from across the world for sure!

As suggested their reserves are documented. With the proper infusion of cash they can be producing 30,000 barrels a day in less than 5 years. A cash cow will finally be created. I don't know why bqi still sells for .53 but I'm still loading up on shares.

buy out maybe. But oil prices will go through the roof againe.

Outperform. Low share price in a speculative and unbalanced mineral/commodity make this worth looking at. Investors who can no longer look to Rare Earth Elements for potential outrageous returns will look to alternative energy sectors. I'd consider this alternative simply due to the method of oil extraction. Production won't begin for 6-9 years, who cares, look for BQI to get driven up by those not interested in profitability. I will gladly be along for the ride at $.51/share.

Speculation is exactly what it means when it comes to stock and nothing else, Beware!

Toatl spec play on this penny stock. I think the cart looks attractive.

Oil sands stocks are speculative, granted, but what stocks aren't in this economic environment? Up is the only possible direction for oil as a commodity and oil sands as the long-term future. BQI's inventory is proven, and the cost to obtain it is high, of course; but as price of retail gas starts climbing toward $4, then $5, watch the urgency of oil sands precipitate, and the value of the company and its stock soar.

Oversold and ready for a bounce?

Closing at $1.50 last Friday, it's a breakout on a weekly chart from a basing range for almost ten months on the largest weekly volume ever: more than 50 million shares traded last week. Fundamentally, excellent values in terms of potential resource or reserve size, as well as great future potential of oil sands industry in general. Got in at $4.00 and 100% in it with real money.

cheap speculative pick on oil. Fingers crossed as I have it in my RL portfolio too.

i think abot BQI ? it will grow.
I keep waching it for a few days...is it no risk?to go for it....

BQI breaks out above $1.50 and can again be rated in CAPS (even if only momentarily) so we'll take a gamble here:
The company is rising today on heavy volume following comments from BP (BP Quote) CEO Tony Hayward, who said the oil giant may increase its drilling position in Canada. "We have a modest position in Canada's oil sands. We can see if we can make it even bigger over time..."
BQI is an obvious takeover target, but at this point it appears to be 'buy the rumor...' however there's some seriously large chunks of money being dumped into it today, so maybe something's up. In with real money at $1.04 - we'll hang on and see how it goes...
