A short-term contrarian pick. I see the market continuing to get ahead of itself on emotion over the next quarter or so. BRK-A stockholders are investors, so they won't be moving the stock so irrationally. Net result is BRK-A stays fairly valued while S&P gets overvalued.

It's all WB, when he goes the stock is worth 1/2

My investment goal is to own one share of this stock in two years and one bargain share during the short term collapse after Warren Buffet retires.
Of course it's going to fail, falter, slump. Warren Buffet isn't forever and he's the fund..

I agree with Doug Kass here
After a two-month period of improving breadth and an advance that approached 38%, it appears that the upward momentum of the market is finally being tested. Typically, overbought markets are corrected in brief order, and four to five weeks seems to be the historical precedent.
This may still be the case, but I am beginning to view the possibility of a sideways correction, in which market sectors "recycle" within the context of only a modest move lower in the market indices.
That being the case I am betting 'gasp' the Bear will run 8-10 days and/or we see a 2 weeks sideways trend and/or lower possibly to the 50 Day MACD line and/or close or just below 900
We will be Bullish by July 4

What can I say? Recession. First, all businesses in trouble - from the buy-your-piece-of-airline, to interiors to rating agencies and insurers. Amex and Wells Fargo also going to be affected, and eventually so is Coke. Plus, the $40 billion put options written will cause fairly deep losses on P&L for a while, especially if they downgrade BRK for any reason.

Too big for its own good. Also, stock price has been pumped up too much due to people's man-crush on Buffet. Who knows what'll happen when Buffet leaves, and I doubt that factor is priced into the stock.

Big Man stock will drop, Love you WGB!!

He ran and ran as fast as he can but in the end he cannot escape the inflated investor demands. There is better value for your money in an S&P filled with cash rich businessmen than this war chest holding company.

In time, due to the american economy the reinsurance companies will start feeling the effect of the overall losses from the property and casulty markets.

This subsiduary will be hard to purchase but has had some recent short falling regardless of the majority owner's history with the market.

The spread between BRK and the S&P is huge. Maybe this is where Buffet really makes his money, but I'm betting on the S&P correcting back over the next year. Plus, I like the fun of shorting Buffet! ;)

Berkshire has the potential to plummet during the transition of managers. Even if this doesn't happen, whats the upside? a 2-3 point outdual of the S&P, you can't even lock-in that as accuracy points in CAPS. The current score leaders are going short, I'm going w/ them.

Nope, I didn't click on the wrong pick selection...this was intentional. Can you believe it?

There is nothing that can grow in Berkshire and they have in the Washington Post a dying industry

As much as he protests to the contrary, Berkshire is all about Buffett. When he is out of the picture, it will be a rough time for the stock.
