Benefitted from the Gulf oil spill as news orgs, government and environmentalists want to monitor and report on offshore oil and gas production with first-hand observation.

It's P/B is too cheap for such a quality company.

This service is down due to the bp mess in the gulf but once that situation gets resolved things should pick up and demand for services like this should be on the rise. Just a thought

Current sell off is overdone as their gulf exposure is limited. Selling for less than replacement value. Demand for offshore drilling will only increase as onshore resources are depleted.

Below book value. Beaten down by the gulf with only minimal exposure. I'm a buyer...

Bristow is a well run company with long-tenured management. Their business is not tethered to oil prices - in fact, they can pass through higher costs on a lagged basis. Management is focused on building its fleet for the long term. It has been thrown out with the bath water even though its exposure to the Gulf of Mexico and related rigs is minimal. If that weren't enough, the stock is trading below book value and below replacement costs (or liquidation cost) of its assets.

A Great Bargain! This stock is oversold! Book Value alone is around $40.44. While to stock is currently at $23.07. With an 11% profit margin and the current ration is 4.28. Which is excellent. Plus the P/E is roughly 6. That being said, as long as their are thousands of oil rigs out in the seas, drilling for black gold, the need workers to run them. Fastest, safest, cheapest way to rotate shifts on these platforms is with a helicopter. Oil companies will not shut down these rigs as long as they are producing a profit, and that start up/shut down cost of a rig is massive.

offshore drilling will be an industry on the rise despite opposition. There are too many benefits to it. Not alot of competition in this business. Consistently growing revenue and profits. Strong financialy, at least in the short term. They have alot of debt which will worry me if revenues take a hit for some reason

there will be a greater demand for offshore drilling. You need helicopters to transport equipment as well as employees to the site. This company should stand to profit.
