The stock is devalued due to expense pressure from a recent merger and painful issues associated with Florida real estate loans. BTFG has a solid management team and will work through the problems. If the real estate mountain proves to steep to climb, a buyer will still pay a light premium long before the book itself is at risk. Either way, the investor will come out fine.
