BTU price is near its low. Coal is still needed to power the electicity plants and we are not getting any more energy efficient. Yes oil has come down, but this can flare up at any time. If you want to own coal, you want to own BTU.

Coal will become an increasingly important source of energy over the next several years and now is an ideal time to buy the industry leader. At current prices near it's 52-week low and a PEG ratio of approximately 0.6, Peabody Energy is a great value play that generates plenty of free cash flow and should handily outperform the S&P 500 over the next three to five years.

Coal will have to rank as the top choice for alternate fuels of oil and natural gas. It will become the major fuel for most industry as oil becomes too expensive.

Damn the polar ice caps, we love coal, global warming or no. This company does a great job providing it. I am ashamed to put an "outperform" on this one. I would rather see BTU bankrupted by new, cheap, and exciting wind/solar/nuclear technology.

Largest coal producer in the world. Cola has a reserve life on earth of 200+ years. When oil is gone coal will still be burning. Coal to Gas is going to be a play and BTU will be there to supply the coal.
