***

The Company is a bank holding company. The Bank is a full-service commercial bank and offers a range of products and services.

Your time frame - A guideline for other members to see whether your thinking is short or long-term. Time frame is also used to calculate the stock rating, but is not used in the scoring of your pick.

Your pitch - Here's your chance to offer more detailed thoughts, analysis, concerns, or the rationale behind your call. The pitch is optional and may be added later.

Each time you rate a stock, CAPS updates the community intelligence for the company, which may or may not change its CAPS rating. For more information, visit the Help tab at the top of the page.

Looks like a good value stock. Earnings outlook has just been increased. If all goes well I estimate a 57% increase in market price over the next 3 to 5 years.

Strong management, well diversified loan portfolio and quality assets. This is a very of stong regional bank in the Pacific NW and should pull through the housing crisis relatively painlessly over the next year.

We MUST be somewhere near a low for this industry, and the turnaround in the Northwest region will be strong and lasting when it happens. Cascade is well positioned here.

Needs a merger partner. High turnover in key business banker area. Excessive insider comp.
