This stock is undervalued. The high-end personal lines market will be extremely lucrative going forward. While a catastrophic loss may crimp earnings, this is a recession proof stock

Market is too crowded and price competition too steep to really get excited about any insurance companies.

Good conservative stock with good margins. Doesn't hurt that the boys at Dodge & Cox like it as well.

Chubb is an old blue chip money machine. It provides premium property and casualty insurance and has a fantastic brand image, focused on high-end consumer segments. Very profitable. Low current valuation, relative to peers. A PE of 9, for crying out loud! Hard to imagine they won't be cranking out the same earnings - or better - 9 years from now. In fact, it's unfathomable. Good upside here.

Very nice opportunity to pick up a nice dividend at a low valuation. When I pick dividend producers, I pick them for the long haul.

Stable. Undervalued. Long term pick with good earnings year over year. Dirt cheap in terms of P/E.
