This is a great little regional stock...I own the stock and I do business with them. They are (and have been) very frugal in their loan issues, in addition, they are in a market that is predominately flat in terms of fluxuations in property value. They are also growing at a nice pace. While the stock price movement is not exciting, the dividends do continue to grow. It is a great safe play for those that do not want to just have cash in thier portfolio.

This is a well-disciplined management group that runs this bank, with many of the top executives having started off with the bank in positions at the bottom of the food chain and worked their way to the top. Its been seen as a disadvantage in being in an area of the country where there may not the the most potential for growth, but given the environment that the big regionals have developed with the sub-prime mortgage problems, CCNE seems to be a safe pick in the financials area. The discipline that they show in steady, but not spectacular, growth (about 9% earnings growth in each of the past couple of years) combined with the new ErieBank that has been set up (a step for them that takes the bank into a larger area than what they are used to) and a very good dividend payout, all will have this stock moving up steadily with out the jumps and drops of a bigger bank.

This banks shares have remained stagnant for some time. Analysts don't even feel this bank is worth rating, making me skeptical of potential growth.

The markets the bank fields its customers from yields very little growth and increase of income. The S
