+ Watch CEA
on My Watchlist
Provides international and domestic passenger and freight air services.
Continuing decrease of "z-score"
Established Chinese Airline poised for a boost in revenues as China's rapidly growing middle-class chooses air travel paid for by an increase in expendable income. Look for large movement at signs of lowering gas prices.
Company is carrying a massive amount of debt, incredibly dangerous in this economic environment
I suspect that the Chinese "Bailout" Plan will make this airline a profitable company in the future and it's dropped significantly in price.
Surging fuel prices kill airline industry. No brainer.
The airline sector is obviously in a little trouble right now and will more than likely continue to suffer throughout the summer driving season when oil prises are at their usual highs; however, the charts for all airlines are just so oversold, and I see a quick bounce throughout the sector before a continuation of downward pressure returns.
CEA is financed nearly entirely with debt. Revenue is dropping, earnings are dropping, and operating cash flow is dropping. They will not be able to pay their bills for much longer and they are WAY overvalued.Underperform!
merged w/ singapore airline, the most profitable airline in asia. going international already. income staement is a mess because of heavy borrowing. future is high and bright.
Massive expansion plan's.
As of close of business on 12/04/2007, this was a 1-star Morningstar stock that was trading at more than double it's Morningstar fair value.
Same thing with China Eastern, it will outperform but will this merge with China Southern to form one larger domestic airline?
"POP" goes the bubble...You'd think people would learn their lesson with the tech bubble.
People fly everyday. There are a lot of people in China, or so I've been told. Good pick, good buy.
.. would tend to agree with many who think that Chinese airlines stocks are bound to see mucho appreciation in the next 12 months or so ..
China Eastern is a great growth play, with oil prices coming down and air travel up in China for 2008 Olympics I see good things in their future!
