Chinese population needs more food - CGA is poised to benefit from China's growing needs for fertilizer.

double down
Recs
Based on numbers and performance of the company. Also, as China becomes even more industrialized and people move to the metropolitan areas, the need for efficient/innovative farming will drastically increase to meet domestic and international demands.
Recs
Because people in China need to eat.

I have been trying to wrap my positive head around this steeping pile of Chinese Fertilizer ever since my initial 200 share purchase on 12-23-2010, @ $9.55/Share. Today I notice another 6.27% drop down to $3.89/Share. I am down over $1000.00. Do I run from this stink? Or, do I hold my nose and hold and pray? Or, am I a Fool for not buying more now? Seriously, I joined to learn, as well as to be guided through this perfidious, sausage making market. Thanks in advance. Positive Pop

People don't fall for these Chinese scams.
Any stock with a market cap under 500 million that has "China" in its name is most likely a fraud. If you just follow this advice u will be right 99.9% of the time. These companies file bogus financial information and most of the time the company itself only exists on paper.
The SEC needs to do something to counter this problem ASAP, this is getting ridiculous.

This stock has performed badly for MDP before, yet they still recommended it, I bought based on that recommendation and now its down 60% from when I bought it. I know I have to give it time but I can't see it picking up.
Recs
We beat up this one enough. Its time to either prove the points or allow the company to move on and stop with all the innuendos.

CGA continues to get pounded, but has anyone taken a look at its financials? This is a strong and growing company in a thriving industry. There is a huge risk reward type of thing. I beleive the potential reward makes his a must-buy.

Compared to YONG, this one seems to have gotten way ahead of itself. Given the fundamental similarities between CGA and YONG, it doesn't really make much sense for these two names to be so far out of sync. Thus I'm giving CGA a red thumb for the parity trade.
Recs
Beginning to regret this green thumb. I violated the conventional wisdom by not green-thumbing a basket of Chinese small-caps to hedge their unpredictability/lack-of-transparency risk, because at the time there were a handful of CAPS all-stars supporting CGA (many of whom have since ended their green thumbs). Since I didn't commit myself to the "basket", I should have just stayed away from Chinese small caps altogether.
I'll keep my green thumb open a little while longer, but I'm not getting my hopes up. At least I've learned my lesson (I think?).

The accusation of fraud is unsubstantiated. GG has seen nothing to suggest fraud. What they could see were good indicators of a growing company in an industry that is a necessity in China. How often do you get a chance to buy a stock with this much misplaced negative sentiment? As a disclaimer, GG did point out that any small cap Chinese stock has it's inherent risks, and that fraud can exist without being evident during a visit. Nonetheless, at this price you are mainly saying that a company with a respectable American accounting firm, and plans to upgrade to a Big 5 firm, is not an outright fraud. Personally, I feel most of these Chinese small caps are being dinged while they try to get their arms around GAAP accounting, which can take some time and effort. Some may be frauds, but I doubt it's that many.

China Needs Food
Recs
Huge upside potential, but high risk (accounting issues). Deserves to be considered as part of a diversified portfolio. China play.
Recs
Could set the stage for a big run in agriculture.

Longshot could bounce back when the smoke clears.
