Chesapeake Energy Corp (CHK)
An oil and natural gas exploration and production company engaged in the acquisition, exploration and development of properties for the production of crude oil and natural gas from underground reservoirs and the marketing of natural gas and oil.
Recs
Realization that natural gas can be our interim "green fuel" will drive this company's worth.

I have purchased this stock when it was $15 a share and made some loot from CHK. I am back in for another run, a long run, but a profitable run at that....
Recs
Oil? whos talkin bout oil you cookin?
Recs
I have watched them grow and fall and overcome the odds to start outperforming again. They have a tremendous amount of tapped and untapped reserves in key areas especially the Williston basin.I look for their stock to doubl or triple in the near future.
Recs
Domestically Produced Energy. Huge gas reserves and great profit margin last quarter
Recs
Long-term belief that natural gas will become the dominant energy source.
Recs
Cold weather is here, natural gas going up.
Recs
CHK has enormous natural gas assets relative to its market value.

It very hard to predict the futures (or futures) but something will have to give at some point. I really think the key is industrial demand turn around for natural gas. Similar to a hurricane, I don't when but I know living here in Fla that it will. I think in any upturn this company is positioned well and I am long term holder.
Recs
Poised to do well with the emergence of CNG as a fuel source for fleet and urban area vehicles, also Natural Gas is THE ONLY SOURCE for replacement of foreign oil that has a huge domestic supply for the foreseeable future, low cost form of energy to run a powerplant, "clean coal", although maybe technologically achievable, costs about TRIPLE OR MORE per KWH produced. I can't imagine paying $0.25 per KWH for electricity, when Natural gas can deliver for about $0.07, and Chesapeake seems to have a significant advantage as far as production cost versus it's competitors. I think Aubrey McClendon (CEO) has learned his lesson about getting too greedy in the options market, which was the primary cause of Chesapeake's share collapse last fall. I don't pown this stock, but I'm looking at it. Wish I had bought it a few months ago at $12.00 ! I do believe, however, that the chance of Chesapeake doubling in value is far greater than the chance of it's price falling 50%, which makes good mathmatical sense to me. I wish the dividends were better, but I suspect that they will be since the company has returned to profitablilty

Management at Chesapeake are penny pinching pros they beat vendors prices down with economies of scale in areas they drill.
Recs
This stock will go up on almost any good news. NG projects, conversion from coal, incentives for NG powered cars, cold weather, add your own.
Recs
who can go wrong with energy?
Recs
one of the "big guys" in field-w3ll positioned for increase ih NG prices
Recs
I got in at $20 and I think that in a year it will be worth $40-45. Natural Gas will rebound, production will be smaller, hedges will end and demand will increase along with green economy.
Recs
Natural gas is the future, yo.
Recs
Going out on a limb and saying that natural gas prices will increase going into the winter. It's just a feeling...
Recs
Good energy pick
