This natural gas co. is too low priced to ignore further. Buying again.

This stock is near it's 52 week low and into the far future there is nearly guaranteed increase in natural gas demand. Currently the commodity is priced low because of the surplus of natgas on the market as well so there is upside on that end too.

Natural Gas prices remain in the gutter in the near future, however, in the long run Natural Gas will become a more critical part of our energy needs. Nat.Gas production has fallen, but will ramp up again as the economy strenthens over the next few years.

Cheaspeake energy is not just a natural gas producer. It effectively makes profits from 3 different operations:
a) Acquisition, exploration, production and distribution (gathering) of natural gas. It has one of the cheapest cost structures in the market. They have an excellent replacement ratio and cost. They replace reserves at multiples (not just percentage increases) of production, with ever lower costs.
b) Divesting (via partnerships), portions of its various plays. It does so at high profits. Implicit valuation of the company (for the non sold part) is well above market value of the outstanding shares, plus the value of the other fields yet to be included in partnerships. Just by taking proven reserves, shares have a potential five-fold increase in sight.
c) Hedging (mainly gas, but also interests). Including the losses (foregone profits, really) when gas was over 13 dollars/mcf, cumulative hedges have already added 4 billion to the bottomn line.
I would definitely call this an "outperform company"

I like Natural Gas right now... With the gulf spill and greenies in office pushing clean energy, this has to go up at some point... I just worry about the potential dangers in "fracking"...
Recs
It's beaten down right now, but Nat gas is a good play over the next few years
Recs
Gas prices are low now, but with the current administrations policy's on energy advancing forward, in two to four years they are bound to go up. That leaves some good room for profits to be made by Chesapeake, even if Obama seems bent on ending profits. Cap and Tax... I mean TRADE could have an unexpected consequence to my outlook.

Aside from the seasonal fluctuations in natural gas prices, CHK is a stock that has looked good from a fundamental perspective since the beginning of the year. As economic worries begin to subside and the harsh volatility that has had such a dramatic impact on Chesapeake's share price gives way to growth, CHK stands to be among the earliest and sharpest beneficiaries in the industry.

Good earnings.

The US has some of the largest natural gas reserves in the world, and this is the largest player. It's (relatively) cheap and easy to convert gasoline vehicles to natural gas as well.

With the recent oil disaster, people are going to start to realize that the funding of alternative energy is a must. There's no question this stock will outperform the market, it's just a matter of time.
Recs
natural gas is under utilised and a good domestic resource vs a weaker dollar

Cramer told me so. I'm not smarter than a 5th grader, so why would I risk money on what I think.

I like this right around 21. NG is sure to be the fuel of the future.
