For those who have ever wondered into a Target to buy new clothes or shoes, encountering the Cherokee (CHKE) brand is inevitable. What you may not know is that this remarkable little company has only a handful of full time employees, less owned… More

Fundamentals look great, but this is all due to the big $33 million payout from Target to buy the Mossimo brand. Excluding that and the company had even earnings growth over last year. Take out the effects and fundamentals haven't improved. Also… More

With a dividend and a stable P/E. We can keep this stock for a while.

I walked into a Target store in Waukesha, WI a couple weeks ago. No Cherokee to be found. I even asked a clerk about it. She told me they were shifting toward another label. I don't think that has made any press at all, the last official statement painting a reasonably rosy picture for Cherokee / Target. While it certainly is true that Cjerkokee brands are making inroads in other countries, that Target business was about half the revenue stream as close as I can figure it.

I've been watching that price plummet, and if there is not something wrong with my observation, the dividend has go to collapse. Cherokee has no debt so loss of Target is completely survivable. but I am not sure how they are going to replace Target as their primary Cherokee retailer. That may be a possibility. Still, I have heard no word of another retailer picking up the brand and I have heard no word that Target no longer has the brand. I just am saying I cannot find a Cherokee branded item in that one store.

I think it is a harbinger. I think manyinvestors noticed even in the absence of an announcement. I think they bailed already. Hence, if you own it you might want to hold hoping for some good news, but you probably would not want to buy it right now based on the evidence.

Cherokee is either a real sleeper or nobody who is buying stocks believes the #'s. At today price of 17.85 thats a yeild of 11.2 % from a co that has no DEBT.they have no factories, no more employees than I have grandchildren, no no no to all the stuff that every body else has tons of. So the big guy likes to spend money, whats wrong with that, theres enough of it. Two years ago the bear pich was what happens when Target & others don't renew.I guess they did...well if they didn't CHKE would march a new guy in with a price that Target would pay and rock & roll. More royalties & fees and what ever.In the mean time they keep signing new clients. If only the CAPS members that rate this a positive would buy some it would be a $ 25.00 stock and still have lots and lots of legs.
