China Mobile says it all
Recs
Lightsquared will die because of GPS issues... opens the door for more LTE bandwidth. Clearwire has it and will either grow or be taken over this year.
Recs
Between the bad news for LightSquared and the good news from China, the outlook for ClearWire is suddenly greatly improved:
Clearwire and China Mobile (CHL) announce agreement on TD-LTE Device test specifications and joint interoperability testing plan.
Recs
They issued more stock in December at $2.00/share to raise money they sorely need.
They are nearly insolvent by all accounts, but a deal with Sprint is imminent, they've got one on the books with China Mobile and there are rumors Metro PCS will come on board soon.
Betting that it at least rises past its recent $2.00 offering price.
Recs
The value of their spectrum will ultimately outweigh the way they've historically been valued (by their wholesale and subscription businesses)
Recs
How CLWR is even in business is beyond me... They're worse than a degenerate gambler in Vegas. At least his number comes up once every 20 spins. All CLWR does is lose money *100%* of the time.
Recs
take-over fodder, because it has spectrum
Recs
An improvement in ownership/buyout will make this stock very valuable once the debt is settled and a restructuring firm has cleaned out dead weight.
Recs
Depending on upcoming anouncements the stock may rapidly increase. I also highly doubt Sprint will allow Clearwire to fail.
Recs
This is way over sold. This is the only industry other than utilities that is making money... No matter how bad people are doing, they will never get rid of their phones.
Recs
Sprint and Clearwire are fighting an impossible battle against the all-consuming market forces known as AT&T (NYSE: T) and Verizon (NYSE: VZ). If Ma Bell manages to merge with T-Mobile at long last, that would at least open up the underdogs to buy or sell each others' corporate bodies on the street, perhaps creating a respectable Franken-carrier as a third leg in the two-legged market. If not, well, it's a long way down.

This company is losing billions in free cash flow, and has been for many years. Why does it have a market cap of 1.2 billion?
In fact, after I made some adjustments to the free cash flow for the most recent year, I divided it by the market cap. What this means is that for every dollar in market cap this company is losing $3.23. In other words, you idiots who are investing in this crap stock are paying the company to lose money. I don't know about you guys, but this doesn't sound like a good investment strategy to me.
The company has a large amount of debt as well and it will have to use its cash on hand to pay interest and principal. It will keep issuing more shares and diluting existing shareholders just so it can prolong its eventual bankruptcy.
I don't care what kind of deal this company makes with sprint (another bad company); it doesn't justify its current valuation. I think the best thing for this company is to cease its operation and sell off its assets. Perhaps this is the best thing for both the shareholders and creditors.

WiMax futures are crippled with the big players adopting LTE
Recs
This one is going under!
Recs
um wow, how can this stock gain 20%+ while bleeding cash all over... it boggles the mind
Recs
WiMax is the last mile solutiion that works and is cost effective. Still on dial-up ... get Clear. My 950 ft driveway eluded cable and DSL for years then came WiMax.
Recs
CLWR has bandwidth and the world wants bandwidth. The decision to move to LTE could have come earlier, but it is absolutely the right way to go. It is just a matter of time before their star (and stock price) rises.
Recs
Bought at 3.02. I think it will hit around 8$ by the end of this year.
Recs
They own WiMAX and they're adding LTE, plus they've got S by the balls - the balance sheet should strengthen in 2012 and macro economics - well this seems to be the only industry that's going to grow in the double dip.
