The bidding war for Clearwire is really heating up now that DISH is willing to take on all of Sprint to get to that delicious huge swath of bandwidth that its subsidiary Clearwire controls. Nothing, NOTHING, is more important than keeping conrol of that giant amount of valuable spectrum in American hands.

volume went from 8.5mil to 170 mil in 1 day. who the hell is there left to buy this??

Spectrum is worth $
Recs
As long as Sprint can prop them up until their spectrum value can be realized they have a good chance of blowing up.
Recs
Around an all time low, should grow in the next year or so.

Awful cashflow, massive revenue growth. They're finally monetizing their bandwidth directly instead of just licensing their bandwidth. It's not a slam dunk. The Clear 4G wireless is not as good as Verizon's, but it's good enough and there's no contract, etc. It's a little like those budget phone companies without the service contracts.

People are getting spectrum-hungry, and very fast...

With Sprint separating from Nextel this is going to open up more capital towards its 4G network development which is through Clearwire. From a technical outlook, the stock has broken its down trend line and is retesting. As long as it holds, you should see this stock back up in the $2-$3 pps range in a matter of weeks.

Gonna take a while for the WiMax hangover to subside.

at this price a definte buy in expect to double with 6 months

Oversold @1.28. Losing money but still worth something due to it's assets and potential to make money. Not a long play though. Sell it next time it hits $2.
Recs
Great price for this stock. Once we see positive revenues next year CLWR will shoot up over $3pps.
Recs
Go all in on the ultimate roller coaster. CLWR will teeter on the verge of bankruptcy, but Sprint will swoop in at the last minute and do the right thing--assume full ownership.

Lightsquared will die because of GPS issues... opens the door for more LTE bandwidth. Clearwire has it and will either grow or be taken over this year.
Recs
The value of their spectrum will ultimately outweigh the way they've historically been valued (by their wholesale and subscription businesses)
Recs
This is way over sold. This is the only industry other than utilities that is making money... No matter how bad people are doing, they will never get rid of their phones.

This company is losing billions in free cash flow, and has been for many years. Why does it have a market cap of 1.2 billion?
In fact, after I made some adjustments to the free cash flow for the most recent year, I divided it by the market cap. What this means is that for every dollar in market cap this company is losing $3.23. In other words, you idiots who are investing in this crap stock are paying the company to lose money. I don't know about you guys, but this doesn't sound like a good investment strategy to me.
The company has a large amount of debt as well and it will have to use its cash on hand to pay interest and principal. It will keep issuing more shares and diluting existing shareholders just so it can prolong its eventual bankruptcy.
I don't care what kind of deal this company makes with sprint (another bad company); it doesn't justify its current valuation. I think the best thing for this company is to cease its operation and sell off its assets. Perhaps this is the best thing for both the shareholders and creditors.
