Comcast is becoming a generator of large free cash. If this is delayed it will be because of burgeoning demand for its triple threat (phone, cable TV and internet) and the accompanying cap ex required. It's good news either way.

as much as i hate comcast, they still dominate in most markets as the primary internet/cable/ provider. Not to mention they've now expanded into phones as well.

Dominant provider of cable television, with growing market share influence of internet and telephony (aka Triple Play). There will be many more phone customers going from phone companies to Comcast, than cable customers going from Comcast to phone companies. Cable rollouts by AT&T and Verizon are still in its infancy, while Triple Play already has a huge leg up. In addition, the growth of HDTV will only drive earnings.

Near monopoly in communities they serve. Look for continued profits as they continue to JACK the prices!

Buffet has bought into this in the past and cable companies have a lot to gain from digital media, Comcast appears to be progressive in this area

Everyone hates a monopoly - but Comcast isn't one in any single market which it serves, and it doesn't really act like one. I've heard of customer experience nightmares but puh-lease: try any one of the alternatives. Plus, they've got the only credible Triple Play out there right now - Cable, Internet and Phone in one package. Some people just don't like that - but I bet a lot of other people do.
