+ Watch CMO
on My Watchlist
The Company operates as a real estate investment trust for federal income tax purposes.
CMO, IS A VERY GOOD RUN AND ALLTHOUGHT THEY HAVE HAD A LITTLE BAD LUCK, THE CO. IS ON THE WAY UP.AL SHEMARIA
implied volatility is going to rise...the dividend and low beta are a nice cushion
Very little rate risk, no default risk, and very little spread risk, also the lowest duration risk of any Mortgage REIT in the market
Until laws change its positive
I don't know if it'll outperform NLY, and I don't think I'll be taking this one into a real portfolio. For CAPS purposes, it pays a decent dividend and is yet another mREIT. I just don't think I want too many mREITs in my actual portfolio....
One of the more stable REIT's in terms of price swings and longevity. Uses leverage on government backed. The government could decide to stop backing at some point and this one would tank. Right now, I'm risking that the dividend can hold at a decent level and that short of a brief Santa Claus rally, the S&P will be in a depressed range bound area. Dividend plays aren't good if the S&P goes on a tear OR if the dividend gets cancelled. This one may make a good five year play, but there are a few others that I like better.
Dividend Mortgage reit
They have paid out so much in dividends in the last 10 years
regression 1.8% 9/22
Well managed with a great potfolio.
CMO provides a strong dividend on a regular basis and has continued to do so even after the collapse began in 2007. CMO is one of the REITs that survived. My investment focus over the past few years has gone from stock price increase to dividend reinvestment, and CMO well matches my strategy.
Pays a 17% dividend. Wow! Goal: $12.00 + dividends
Dividend had been dropping and should stabalize. I am a buyer at $10+, but not a big fan of ARM holding REITS..
Owned years ago but recently repurchased for the Divvy
Closest competitor to NLY and I am using them for diversification purposes. Great company that I would not mind being long.
As real, estate prices firm CMO will grow.
Mortgage company will rebound in improved economy.
