With margins getting beat up by increase price of material costs ie Aluminum and Sweetners, it will be hard for COT to cut those costs. Insider activity is never a good sign. Cott also has a high level of debt but they do suggest a good paydown schedule.

If you compare market cap & revenue with other soft drink companies this stock is way undervalued. In a tough economy people will buy cheap overname brand.

This met a high level screen to indicate a buy and strong outperform against its peers (other tickers in its industry). My 1st version of this spreadsheet devles deep into the company's balnace sheet and recent income statements, combined with other relevant price data for the company including insider/institutional holdings, short interest, debt levels, etc.

Removed my Green Thumb in front of the Earnings Report....Revenue was a miss but was not evidence enough to Red Thumb COT at a 5 handle. Water Bottle industry decline means COT is shifting direction away from Water Beverages....This has a long term benefit for COT going forward as their focus will be on their better performing CSD business.

Everybody at retail is looking at value. Store brand, private label is booming. Cott is biggest soft drink supplier. Look at financials at main competitor FIZZ. The stock is poised for continued gains.

Please keep your hands and arms inside the roller coaster at all times. We're coming up on a nasty drop.

Does anybody drink anything that this compancy makes?

The only news I've seen about them is that Walmart is going to stop selling their product.

This one is way overbought and will drop like a rock.

Overbought! Going with goldminingXpert on this pick. The big run-up recently is not justified, in my opinion.

A top is near when stocks of dubious quality rise 50% in a day due to the announcement of a stunning loss in their quarterly results.

COT is the maker of many generic brand drinks. They have recently taken a hit because Wal-Mart has decided to reduce the volume of business it currently does with COT. This has already been reflected in the price and as we go through a resession and the price of grociers continues to climb, people will be looking to substitute name brands with lower cost generics
