Let's face it: this stock has been terrible....but I feel that this is a great business with a great entry point...marketing is pushing its efforts in the BRIC counties....also new lines to compete with healthier lifesttyles and food choices

Testing out Cramer's recommendation on this one. What can I say? He made a good pitch...

1.) CPB is selling cheap.
2.) Grain prices and other raw costs (inputs) are falling.
3.) General Mills & Kellogg are enjoying highs, CPB has been left behind.
4.) CPB is introducing new products.
5.) CPB is expanding internationally, such as in BRIC nations.
6.) The board has been buying back their their stock. They have authorized $1.2B buy backs over next 18 mos.
7.) They have trusted name brands, like Pepperidge Farms.
8.) Possible takeover target from int'l food giant, like Nestle.
9.) They've finally been raising prices.

I'm giving Cramer a shot here. Outperform.

Strong Brand Hard to switch to store brands when it comes to soup nice hard times company plus i like their soup.

love their products. consume them almost daily (tomato juice, soups)
