Campbell's has been taking a hit lately, there's not doubt. Food trends come and go, but this company's been around for 100+ years. I think the reason it's been in the news for diving is that its so unexpected. Now that they're at a yearly low, I think it'll start heading back up on it's usually steady climb.

I respect this company mostly for their anti out sourcing feelings and I feel they are one of the definitions of a blue chip stock.

Too high a P/E for this industry. Comfort foods competition keeps on growing. Look for the flu season especially to show the competitor's edge.

Outstanding management team. Solid financials. GROWING portfolio of solid brands. Excellent dividends that are increasing. Pepperidge Farm is growing like crazy. Soup has solidified Red & White. It tastes better. It has less sodium ... should I go on. Solid stock for your portfolio.
