The information is confuses. They said "Earlier this year, Mr. Rodolfo Sanz was appointed the Minister MIBAM and President of the CVG, having direct involvement with the Las Cristinas project in both capacities"(02-28-2008). But MIBAN means "Ministerio de Industrias Basicas y Mineria". The entity which has not granted permissionis is MINAMB (Ministerio del Ambiente, Ministry of Environment, web:www.marn.gov.ve). My opinion is that situation is not clear and in this year there will be elections for governors and mayors (in November). Besides, the government has a conflict with Exxon-Mobil and there are many internal problems. I can not see it easy.

sorry but I think global politics will play a large part in the health of this stock

crystallex only needs one positive confirmation from a dictator who has been known to repatriate foreign assets. The stock price will be trading at near double digit prices when the Las Christianas project gets approval.

In the fall of 2007, a single financial analyst made a downgrade on KRY believing in higher mining costs for specifically KRY stating higher fuel costs.
That is a minimal concern and not a valid concern due to the continuing high value of gold per ounce which will amply keep pace with oil price. Chavez also benefits from any fiery language that maintains or elevates oil pricing which also increases gold prices!
Chavez is smart enough to capitalize on both oil and gold pricing. The final permit for the Las Christinas project is a golden ticket to both KRY and Venezuala. The most difficult environmental permit is already approved and required bond is posted so finalization of permit to grant commencement of clearing and mining is imminent.
KRY has little analyst coverage. Irregardless, that downgrade set off the selling and at year end there continued basically loss selling.
Anyone that was going short on KRY benefitted a lot and was really VERY, VERY gutsy (way too gutsy) since the finalization of the permit on their Las Christnas project can occur at any time (anyone think that short positions should have been investigated?)

In the end it all comes down to the Precious Metals. Oh and oil.

This is a favorite stock for people playing the stock market game in the spring, trying to win a million dollars. However, the SEC should investigate who is buying this stock "for real" while the game is being played. Just check the moves in this stock in spring '06 ande '07. Show the world you know what you are doing and buy this before the game starts. Risks to this prediction include the SEC showing some backbone and looking into this

Now that the Chinese stock market is in tune again with New York and that it is going down, oil and gold won't be able to keep moving higher.

just got financing pkg. at $2.09 USD/per stock unit. Final push to final permit. jmo

Will get the permit soon!!!! Chavez needs it!!
Recs
Should get the permit and recover its recent losses.

My gold sector pick. Target 6.

KRY is speculative stock at this moment because of long waiting permit. Current news suggest the Permit will be issued to KRY at any moments....if that happens Stock will bounce tremendously...However, if permit rejected (which is very unlikely), stock shouldn't sink more then 15% down. So if you compare Risk(15% down) Vs. Reward(more then 100% up), i would definitely suggest KRY.

Gold vs the Dollar offers some interesting prospects now.
Plus good ol Hugo promises to "exploit Venezuelas resources" being the renowned phylanthropist he is, I am hoping this will have a positive impact on approval for mining soon.
People see Hugo as a risk to this stock but for the above reason I think otherwise.

Stuck in third world bureaucratic muck, currently way undervalued. Also a great buyout target once they receive final permit approval.

Time for another run!!!!

Looks to have found support at this level. Permit should be a matter of when not if. Once gold is being brought out this should move, I'm not greedy or impatient - I'll be happy to double my money in a few months.
