I like avacados

This is easy! The stock was recently sold down and under as it cycles. The CEO sold a measily 2000 shares out of his family trust.

This stock is about California avacados mostly. It has recently added a very nice fruit selection from Hawaii (irradicated product line)

The share price is near a 52 week low, all the while it is in gear for its usual best financial quarter.

Micro-cap 5-star food producer in a hot. growing market (avocados are healthy and getting more popular all the time) near it's 52-week low. Food prices are rising and agricultural companies are reaping the profits.

With climbing commodity prices, this group of growers could really cash in, assuming that people don't approach avocados as a premium product they can leave out of their budget.

While California's avocado crop was destroyed by fire, along with the trees, Chile's crop was greatly diminished by unusually cold weather. The trees may take a couple of years to recover but they were not killed. This company seems to have aligned itself nicely in order to profit from a poor US crop plus higher food prices. Their diversification into tropical and Hispanic foods will only increase their success.

Their trend might be low but I think that they will pick up as soon as the economy comes around

An avocado stock! Brilliant! Mexican food and Tex/mex is still popular, healthy food trends continue, and avocados even make good ice cream. They have a short shelf life, which keeps people coming back for more.

They had a bad 4th Q due to frozen avocado imports from South Am. They're due to bounce back, especially because of a new contract with a Hawaiian pinapple company. They're also expanding into the mushroom business. Lots of room for growth.

so let me get this strait... so they grow avocado and ......avocados?? iam not a fan of em avocados..i preferred salsa and cheese with by doritos

Has advantage with their proprietary techniques for ensuring perfectly ripe avocados arrive at their shipping destinations. Calavo has been diversifying their products and are now better insulated from bad avocado crop years. High insider ownership (>20%) but company management needs to improve profit margins ~2.5%.
