CW has created a nice niche for itself in the exciting world of valves and motion control products. Most normal people dont care much about valves or motion control but when your landing an airplane, driving a submarine, drilling for oil, manning a nuclear power plant or trying to stabilize an aiming system on a tank, you have an interest in CW's products.

At one time CW created the engines for the B-17 bomber; now they create the motion control to open bomb bay doors and extend flaps on airplane wings to ensure a smooth landing.

They have a lot of debt on their balance sheet when compared to their total cash because they have been buying up companies left and right to expand thier valve and motion control business. They bought Synergy Microsystems for its computer board business; Indal Technologies, for its in shipboard helicopter handling systems; Cameron International Corporation to market underwater pumping systems to the offshore oil industry; Valve Systems and Controls (VSC) for its automation equipment, and controls for the flow control operations of the oil and gas industries; and Scientec LLC - a maker of nuclear power instrumentation, electrical components, and specialty hardware.

One way China will keep the economic peace with the US will be to funnel lots of lucrative business deals our way -and CW is set to benefit from huge energy buildout for nuclear power in Asia.
