I like the industry but why own a high debt, a non-dividend paying, small cap that is losing money when you could by something solid like Waste Managment?
Recs
Still not a huge fan of the financials. Low on cash and quite a bit of LT debt. I'll close my short term underperform pick once it turns positive. In the long term I am a fan of CWST if they can manage their debt effectively.

Opening new facilities and they own alotta' New England landfill acreage that is partially being used to generate gas to power the Trash Trucks ... very cool green vertical integration .
Recs
Management got religion, are delevering, and have spent a ton of time changing the internal culture to be more profit-minded and less market share at any cost-minded. Seems like latent pricing power may be surfacing - modest growth in earning power + deleveraging makes for attractive opportunity.

waste disposal?
Recs
This might be a profitable company if they weren't drowning in debt.

This waste recycler is well positioned in 14 states; with enviromental awareness for leaving a smaller footprint by most consumers. Retailer and commercial comanies, on a "green" bandwagon, will lead to uupside gains for this stock long term.
Recs
There's no reason this stock has been going up so much, I just don't get it... Long term EPS is still quite negative... huge debt... i'm shocked that anyone would look at this company and give it a green thumb. Unless they've invented a cure for cancer I'm staying far away from this one.

Waste management companies will always be in high demand.

I simply used the screener to identify 1-star companies with the highest 52-week gain. The 1-star rating should mean they are bad companies and the 52-week gain should mean they are overpriced. We’ll see how it works!
Recs
The tremendous growth thus seen in the waste management sector is going nowhere even in the face of a recession this summer. Bill Gates sure called this sector a few years ago when he invested gobs of money into it becuase he saw an oppertunity. Well, folks that oppertunity is still there, and I see this entire sector continuing up. The laughable P/E of all of these companies will soon disappear. Time to jump on board if you haven't already.
Recs
Hard to put faith in a stock with a P/E of 910. I'd say there's a lot of optimism about this stock, which I do not believe is supported by the business.
Recs
The P/E ratio is astronomical. But soon they won't have any earnings to speak of anyway.

company has a big load of debt, is barely afloat with its margins, and continues to have a sinking stock price. old saying in industry "YOUR TRASH is OUR CASH" DOESN'T seem to apply!

Can't find a good reason why anyone would buy this.
