Dominion is a great company. Lots of "irons in the fire".

BUT ... maybe you should "hedge your bet" by also buying SCANA (SCG). When you buy SCG you are really buying DOMINION (D) at a discount ... assuming the merger goes through. (I am 95% confident it will be finalized and own shares of both companies.)
So with D stock currently at $66.60 and SCG at $36.60 there is a $30 instant gain ...
BUT... D stock will be valued at .669 x current price at time of merger. So MAYBE that would be $44.56/share. Still a gain of almost $8/share.
Ideally SCG would go DOWN and D up to magnify the gain.
As a side note: Westinghouse also was building a nuclear plant in Georgia. Vogtle plant. The plant there is being completed by BECHTEL, a privately owned company. If successful, would D look to Bechtel to complete the South Carolina project?

My hometown power company right here in Richmond, VA is trading at a discount. Dominion is considered one of the better operations in power and has recently sold off some business, and acquired business that better fit their operating acumen. Regulatory worries has sent the stock down, but I see investors coming around to Dominion, a proven performer in this volatile market we are seeing.
