With Chryser and their new idea (keeping gas under $3 for customers), I believe a lot of people will trade in their vehicles. If I hadn't bought a new dodge last year, I would so now!

There seems to be some confusion about this stock lately. DAI is Daimler, the German company making Mercedes-Benz and Maybach cars. As of summer of 2007, they have no relation to Chrysler anymore, having sold off Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep to Cerberus, a private equity group. Even freed of Chrysler an...More

Mercedes-Benz continues to show why thy are the number one Luxury Maker in the world.





ALL US Luxury Vehicle Sales are DOWN, while Mercedes-Benz is UP 4% YTD. Fuel Efficient Hybrids are on the horizon and in the meantime they have a nice compliment of Fuel Efficient Diesel vehicles. The All New GLK Launches in January 2009 which will come in two engine variants, GLK350 and the GLK Blu Tek Diesel. Their Flag ship the S Class will be launching an S400 Hybrid in less than 18 Months, which delivers more horsepower and torque than most US version V8 engines, and the fuel economy of some their smaller lighter vehicles.





Then you have Smart, Daimlers Bus Line (ALL HYBRID) etc.





If there was one car maker to bet on, MY Money is on Benz!

In general, the automotive sector is taking a hit. People aren't really buying new cars right now... especially unreliable Daimlers with low gas mileage....

Mercedes has demonstrated their ability to respond early to the wants and needs of the consumer. I believe the Forto will prove to be a boon for investors as it catches on. I want to be there for the ride.
