Though not a "muni" fund:
Shorting fixed income is an easy way to beat the S&P 500 WHEN the S&P does well, but it is an equally awful way to under perform when the S&P does poorly. As a side note I'm interested in the Supreme Court Ruling on the tax ability of State Municipal Bonds.
