Dell used to have a decent sized chunk of the computer marked due to the fact that their computers were inexpensive, and generally relaible. Now, their computers are just plain cheap and unreliable, and they are having trouble keeping their customer base as people switch to other computers. Until Dell can improve their customer service and fix their computers to compete again with other brands, their stock will continue to perform poorly.

p/e ok. Previous and possible future adjustments to cut costs as well as new marketing tactics and new products that even the average joe will be lured in to making the leap into the world of laptops. They seem to have made the right adjustments in the last pit stop. UP UP & AWAY!

Multitude of reasons, but will stick to the elevator pitch. Box shifting is a very competitive market, Dell lost their way and customer service, but have kept their eye on the costs -- still on of, if not the cheapest manufacturers -- with their acquisition of Alienware they are now the Lowest Cost Provider -- the best position to be in a box shifting business -- as well as having the higher end

Strong balance sheet and production experience.
They've shown the ability to enter new markets while squeezing max life out of existing product. Mr. Dell is keenly focused on improving management and R&D.

They have become stale in an industry that is ultra-competitive on a global scale.

gross over reaction to a missed target; and an underestimating of Michael Dell's competitive nature. He will respond.
