The Motley Fool needs to update this. Wisdom Tree has rebranded this ETF as the Global Equity income ETF. It tracks an index of the highest yielding 30% of all equites worldwide with market caps of over $2 Billion. The index is weighted by the size of total dividend payout rather than market capitalization as in most indices.

The expense ratio is higher than I would like to see, but I like the international diversification and I'm increasingly a believer that dividends are the safest bet in this uncertain economy.

Backtesting over 10 years shows 16.9% average return including dividends. Current yield of index around 4.6%. Much of this fund is weighted towards UK.
