Stock worth a bare minimum $109 based on Ben Graham growth formula. IV= EPS (8.5 + 2G)= 3.83 (8.5 + 2 (10))= $109. Note that the 10% growth rate assumed is conservative and the stock could be worth even more.

Positive:
- This is the prototype of a company that does hugely profit from the strong dollar.
- Pays a dividend and buys back shares aggressively with cheaply borrowed money.
- Dollar Tree takeover will bring some synergastic savings.

Negative:
- The stock is expensive but should be a good relative value in an upcoming recession.

These dollar stores are due for a slow-down and I think that FDO's miss today is just the beginning for these names.

Stores are popping up in small communities that have few buying choices and not much competition. As gas prices increase, more will shop at DG.

With more insecurities piling onto the American family, somethings that where once 2nd nature to buy, have been put on the short list due to the instability in today's government. If DG can continue selling item's like toilet paper and paper towels at low rates it will do just fine.

In this economy people have to find the best prices. Dollar stores are busy. People who are decreasing their expenditures will spend money here. They will get more for their money. My mom and sister-in-law love to shop here. Dollar General will do well in a down turn economy.
