Dollar General (NYSE:DG)

Let's just say that brokerage analysts are more optimistic about this company's prospects than the insiders are.

3X book is not my idea of an "attractive entry point".

This is just a great looking stock.

Strengths: PE, PEG, Price to Sales, Price to Book, Operating Profit Margin, Net Profit Margin and all projected growth numbers are in the top segements of the space

Weakness: No regular dividends

I am willing to overlook my usual dividend requirements here and give it a go.

It really should specially in the long run. It's inevitable due to natural market direction.

expansion, new products attacting customers

These dollar stores are due for a slow-down and I think that FDO's miss today is just the beginning for these names.

This company only invests in the USA . Good company for a lagging economy .

Stores are popping up in small communities that have few buying choices and not much competition. As gas prices increase, more will shop at DG.

With more insecurities piling onto the American family, somethings that where once 2nd nature to buy, have been put on the short list due to the instability in today's government. If DG can continue selling item's like toilet paper and paper towels at low rates it will do just fine.

With the economy in dire straits, what money can be spent will be in Dollars Generally, and not hundreds, as of days of olld.

Not sure exactly when this company starting offering stock,but started out around $22.00 share and I think after about 2years it's over $40.00

In this economy people have to find the best prices. Dollar stores are busy. People who are decreasing their expenditures will spend money here. They will get more for their money. My mom and sister-in-law love to shop here. Dollar General will do well in a down turn economy.

To high a cost ,for to little shares its set up to make a lot of money .but mot long time investers. its set up to scam

buying and selling merchandise low and passing these savings to large demographics.

Non-technical analysis from me is based on what I see. They've saturated the market ( I can't go 3 blocks in any direction without running into one of them), and they just reopened their stores after doing a four-day extensive remodel / upgrade to their local stores. They're making a major push.

No doubt will outperform. Buffet is bullish on it & with today's uncertainty & terrible economy people need to spread their money as far as it can go.
