Cheap stock that may believe is an attractive potential takeover target.

Like that they are a world wide company with footprints in numerous developing economies. Makes a nice hedge against slower growth in the U.S. They will need to start growing again, for this to be a strong investment, but analysts expect 2010 earnings of 2.36 for a forward P/E of 12. Wish they used some of their cash to pay at least a marginal dividend.
Recs
Showed up on a screen for solid 5 year growth with low debt, cash on hand and still at attractive P/E ratios.

I have a friend who works for the company as a technical writer. His main work is preparing proposals for new accounts. I judge the company on the basis of his activity. Lately he has been flying all over the world (ankora, singapore, budapest, boston). He also claims that when home he is lucky to finish work before midnight.

seems to be growing doing good on the financials.

Amdocs makes the billing department sound sexy. They provide "customer experience" software which, apparently, makes paying your cell bill fun. Or at least less harsh.
Owning DOX in the past eight years or so has not been so fun. While earnings growth has been consistent throughout the period, stock price has eroded. Eroded to the point where now I think of this as a value play. PEG is about .86. EV/SV is 2.2. While I don't see this as a five-bagger in the next five years, I see it as a market outperform.
Have fun paying your cell bill!

The boat is slowly ... I mean VERY slowly ... turning around.
I don't think this is the time to jump ship.
Well, so much for Tuesday evening prose !
Anyway, I'm up-grading to a mid-term hold after a disappointing 12 months.

Looks like a winner to me. Healthy ROE, good margins. Good enough for CAPS.

Beaten down and offers a good entry point.

This company is smartly managed. I like where they are growing, and improving its services. I don't like that they don't offer dividends.

Well below it's 52 week high and seemingly in a good position to capture market share globally.

Loved the stock and finally has dropped enough to buy in.

Good software and management.

reputedly: no news = good news.
the company has a long tradition of qualitative management, wise strategy and dominating the billing sector.
moreover in the last 2 years amdocs entered new fast-growing lucrative sectors by the acquisition of Cramer and Qpass.
it was one of the first tech companies which understood the potential of the Asian markets and established development center in Bangalo (india) few years ago.
