I believe Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group, Inc. will bring in 164.59 points considering a 15% S&P performance.

Another one of my botched picks. Well I again depended on this time namely - Ultralong. Evidently this time the pick didn't turn out in the way he and I were predicting.
There has been some kind of buyout or merger included, but I don't recall exactly, that has lifted the price.
Well -267 points speaks for itself.
At least my overall score is quite well.

people will always like low priced stuff no matter what or when

Stock started going down once their books were asked to be opened... I believe it's because with full disclosure, Avis and Hertz will realize that they really don't want to buy DTG, buying DTG would probably make either one bankrupt eventually. This whole purchase deal at market highs just shows how dumb a lot of rental car companies are. I had to deal with them all the time through my past job, and DTG was definitely the worst of them.
Enterprise certainly didn't even try to buy any of them, they've always known to stay away from airports and focus on being the go-to company during repairs etc.
Recs
What is going on here? I think there's either irrational exuberance or price manipulation here, or maybe a little of both. Is the car rental business really that great of a business? DTG and Hertz both seem to have a lot of debt.
Recs
I've kept my red thumb because I think that once both suitors look at their books, they have to walk away in this economy.

Inflated, one of Top 10 biggest gainers in 2009. Won't be able to sustain it.
Recs
Anytime the graph makes the S&P look like a straight line over the past 6 months is way overvalued.......especially with this much debt.
Recs
Huge debt, buckleys of paying it off.
ht Ultralong
Recs
Way too much debt to carry relative to the strength of their business.
Recs
Technically, dtg's hitting major resistance and started to bounce south.
Fundamentally, UltraLong's pitch against it sounds convincing.

What goes parabolic on the upswing, must go parabolic on the downswing.
Recs
HT Ultralong.
Recs
Their book value is cooked. Their inventory isn't worth what they say it is. Give it a 20-35% discount to get the true number.

To the moooooooon!
