A very good deal for this time. If you wait too long it will go up and up to were your paying $5.00 + per share. DYN just sold off its bad investments they took a small lost, but in time they will be in the plus! I did my reserch.

With the state of the ecomony, energy stocks are at bargain prices, which includes DYNEGY. I am in this for the short term....

Hopefully this company can fix it's troubled balance sheet. If so, hope it gets back to the $50 range it was earlier this decade.

I think Dyn's steps to sell few of its energy plants and reduce its debt shores up the balence sheet and return to profitability

Management is not as good as when Watson was there. They focused in the wrong direction. The Natural Gas Clearing House was better

DYN sells to utilities. Price under $2/share reflects fear of being unable to rollover debt (dyn does not have to do this until 2011) and depression fears. This is a potential 2-4X gain if; 1 - we do not enter a depression, 2 - the capital markets recover by 2011. Even in these worst case scenarios, the book value of this company is 5x current stock price and asset sales/liquidation value of company (incl. lt debt) would pay off common stockholders.

Energy consumption is a necessity.
They have cash & investments with 10.1B total assets. This income should increase in coming quarters. I believe this Co.k will continue to grow at a steady pace. Its very possible that very soon at this price, it will be bought out by a bigger Co. for no less than $6 or $7 per share.
So, take it while its a bargain ! I will.
