Looking longer term, I like low cost (0.34% Total Annual Operating Expenses) exposure to the EAFE and diversity of this ETF.

International will continue to grow faster than the US.

Great EFA for International exposure. Own a very diverse basket of stocks such as; BP, GlaxoSmithKline, Nestle, Vodaphone. Nice dividend too but keep in mind with this ETF they dividend is only payable twice a year, I prefer every quarter for reinvesting the dividend but not a deal breaker for a long term investor trying to find financial peace.
Recs
have to have exposure overseas somewhere why nbot here!!!

The USA will bounce back starting on 1/21/09. So will the rest of the World.

Tends to mirror the S&P 500 but offers a much higher yield.

I expect that in 5 years or so, the international markets will have weather this storm and return to profitability
Recs
developed world will shine more as US stock market under perform with the ongoing economic fall

Slump might not be totally over, but I think the worst is behind this stock. It has a very good yield right now, too.
