If dollar weakens, exchange rate will boost foreign stocks in USD terms.
Recs
As an emerging market index fund, there is more potential for dynamic growth out of this fund than there is in the S&P500.

good summary

Throwing darts at this point!!!

The best out there, my hooded horned wanderers.

Falling dollar will provide tailwind for foreign stocks. This index tracks large companies in developed countries and has a modest dividend.

Looking longer term, I like low cost (0.34% Total Annual Operating Expenses) exposure to the EAFE and diversity of this ETF.
Recs
International will continue to grow faster than the US.
Recs
Great EFA for International exposure. Own a very diverse basket of stocks such as; BP, GlaxoSmithKline, Nestle, Vodaphone. Nice dividend too but keep in mind with this ETF they dividend is only payable twice a year, I prefer every quarter for reinvesting the dividend but not a deal breaker for a long term investor trying to find financial peace.
Recs
Tends to mirror the S&P 500 but offers a much higher yield.

International ETF
Recs
international yo, VEA is a low dividend substitute
Recs
I expect that in 5 years or so, the international markets will have weather this storm and return to profitability
