Kodak is an old company that will eventually get it right. It may take a few years, but I in for the long run with them. Good or bad, I will see what they can do and take the risk they can pull out of it. At the same time, I am new to teh market.

At this point in time the breakup value of Kodak is greater than the stock price. There are a lot more good things that can happen that will help the stock valuation than bad things. Good things such as (1) a change of point-of-view at top management,(2) an end to IP litigation, (3) the coming along of a suitor and (4) spinning off profitable divisions will help the stock outperform the market and will return some additional value to the stockholders.
Surely, Kodak will never again be a great company because too much damage has been done to the internal workings that allow for efficiency of scale, and a clear vision of company direction. Efficiency and vision have departed. The product line is good and is being developed, but at what cost!

Kodak's digital printer business is the future for the company. As long as they can stave off bankruptcy this will be a 3x bagger. I think it is actually somewhat bullish that they chose to license patents to Imax instead of selling them.

It looks like Eastman Kodak is headed for bankruptcy - even if it wants to plow the cash from its patent sales into attempts to revitalize some part of its business, the bondholders won't let it.
