Relaunch of the most effective drug for MS and a very strong Alz pipeline.

Tysabry for MS. Lehman is estimating revenue of $45M for 06 which is about 6k patients world wide out of 800k patients in the US and Europe. Elan and BIIB have 22k in trials so 6k this year should be easy to achieve.

Alzheimers will be a $10-15 Billion market by 2015. Elan's target of the beta-amyloid is increasingly identified as the problem in various animal models. In addition, current phase 1 trials indicated safety and improvement of mental function in humans.

Nano drug delivery is attractive because it reduces the dosage needed, can be taken by mouth, and increases the patent life due to reformulation of the drug.

All the focus is on Tysabri and the stock has moved with its changing fortunes. However, the long-term play is with their various nano-technology drug release mechanisms whihc are bieng licensed to other manufactures

Tysabari approval, Alzheimers pipeline, nano drug delivery pipeline make this stock look like a winner in the near to medium term. Approval of an AD drug makes this a potential home run.

Product pipeline particularly Tysbieri

Elan's MS drug, Tysabri, could be a blockbuster. They are also well positioned with Alzheimer's drugs in the pipeline. At around $15, the stock has some upside.

Survived catastrophe twice. Leading Alzheimers research.

Generally I believe sales of T very much discounted at this point. Institutional investors begining to load up. I think we will see nice jump up by the time 3Q will be released.

They really will do well with Tsarbi(sp) drug - it will take a year plus for the results to show but it will happen.

It still has room to improve with ALZ program...and we have yet to see how large TY sales will be.

MS is such a terrible disease and the current treatments just aren't effective enough. Tysabri isn't really effective enough either (as it's not a cure) but it's tremendously better than the alternatives currently available. Once the MS community starts using Tysabri and hearing how much better the treatment is, how the side effects are fewer, and the treatment is monthly instead of daily...they're going to start demanding Tysabri. It will probably take a year for this to really roll into place but when it does Elan will be rewarded. I'll withhold comment on the other drugs in the pipeline at this time.

I can't help it, BIO is the next big thing, and ELN has a drug that will prove out to be blockbuster IMO. Tysabri, and Alzheimers will propel this stock by the end of the year.

Elan's Tysabri is going to help MS patients. Watch out Alzheimer's because Elan's hot on its tail too.
Elan is well positioned, with extensive experience dealing with the FDA as well as top notch researchers to level a serious blow to Alzheimers and Multiple Sclerosis. Alzheimer's world market is immeasurable. I'll add more later.

This company has a proven best of breed treatment for Multiple Schlerosis which is waiting for the FDA to grind through its arcane process and put it on the market. In the pipeline there is a possible treatment for Alzheimers Disease. This could be the investment of the decade.

But seriously, the potential for some major blockbusting here is enormous.
