I got the scoop on this one from my brother who sells HVAC control systems. He thinks that LONSystems will end up being being the standard for control systems.
With increasing energy prices, efficient control systems will not only help with "green" subsidies for efficiency, but high prices will give control system players more leverage.

Let's see. We're running out of oil, natural gas is not far behind, uranium stores are limited especially if we ramp up building of new plants, and burning coal has a really high carbon footprint. At some point the industrialized world is going to have to get serious about conserving. That's were ELON comes in.
