this company will probably be bought out within a year or two. Their earnings are great and growing constantly. there are more VM ware's in their incubator pipeline

Well established company with a great pipe-line.

Revenues look like they could increase around 18% this year and have a potential for further growth (10-15%) in 2009 if you factor in strong international growth and market share gains.There should be some solid sales increases for the information infrastructure business as well. EMC is one of the majority holders of VMWare (VMW, $35). And lets be honest, have you ever reduced your data storage requirements? Nope, me either! That is only ever going up.

Cloud computing is still the future that will allow all of us to move away from storing information on our own computer or business on their own hardware. Their stake in VMware will eventually be a big benefit to holders of EMC. EMC is also a premier provider of storage hardware for companies needing to store huge amounts of data. The internet is beginning to develop into the business revolution we thought it would be before the telecom and internet business bust in 2001. Broadband usage is exploding and EMC should be a major benefactor of this expansion. I was early into the stock, but I an still holding my shares hoping that we will see improvement sooner than later. The networking stock, all though not performing well in this market, are still growing their businesses globally.

Need for storage & virtualization will go exonential in the next couple of years

Increasing sales, strong international growth and VMWare make this undervalued stock very attractive.

as bad as tech is right now this one hit its low its time to go back up

How low will it go??? EMC is a running joke in the tech stock sector. These guys have been hammered since the bubble burst and never really recovered.

With a very strong product set, a new CEO at VMW who might actually play nice, and a double digit growth I don't see where a person could go wrong buying EMC.

With this price.. almost at it's 52w low. It's a gotta buy, not a should buy. Maybe it will go up to 18 in the next year?

It works.

We consolidated 8 individual servers into 2 VM servers. Performance went through the roof and we cleared some rack space.

This sector is going to continue to see substantial growth despite any economic downturn. Good growth potential for the long-term.

In addition to their strong position in the Storage Networking market and their huge stake in VMWare. EMC is aggressively growing a strong services and support business that will allow them to have above average growth in the next 2 to 4 years.

Imho, Undervalued at these levels

totally undervalued, vmw value will be realized in coming months as emc will be free to trade it as the waiting period from intial ipo expires.

Storage market is growing steadily. Significant international sales translate well into a shrinking $US. RSA Security a leader in a growing market. Making good bets on cutting edge technologies like solid-state drives, cloud computing. Investment in VMW a drag at the moment (as VMW is a good company but overpriced). If EMC chooses to sell more VMW shares, or spin off completely (unlikely), it would be a boost.

Product and software designed to meet rising institutional need for considerably more digital storage.
